osc: changing fx value by name

Hey, I sort of understand osc, but I've been having big issues with trying to change a desired fx parameter by targeting its name.

I figure I should be able to do this with two osc messages:

1. target/select the fx parameter by its name

2. change its value with another osc message.

Is this right?

I have been able to succeed in changing the value of a certain parameter with messages like this:

/track/1/fx/1/fxparam/1/value .5
/track/1/fx/1/fxparam/1/value 1
/track/1/fx/1/fxparam/1/value .21
etc.

However, I'd must rather be able to target an fx parameter by its name... Is this possible?
