Thanks for the fast fix. Working as expected.

Still coming across Linear/Curved Automation in lanes where there should only be Square Automation (ie, Mute Lane). I cannot figure out how to reproduce this, but I think it's related to using Razor Edits...randomly one of the points will be linear/bezier after a duplication/manipulation.
I'll follow up if I can intentionally break it again.

I don't think it's new to this very pre, but I thought of reporting here anyway, hoping it's ok.
Some buttons in the MIDI editor track list seem to work unpredictably: for example, the padlock button does not work on all items when pressed in a track header, and it doesn't work as well when pressing it again to deselecting all items. Is it maybe because there are pooled MIDI items?
(See attachment)
Is this by design?
Thanks,
Mario

Just testing this version with headphone sends.
I am routing individual tracks via sends to a single track that then goes to a hardware output that's connected to my headphone amp.
When I arm the track I'm recording on and use a buffer size of 128 samples I get the following:
In stop mode there's a nice snappy response with a couple of plug ins on the track I'm about to record on and most impressively I can have plug ins with oversampling etc on the master bus and there's still NO severe latency monitoring my armed track in stop mode. In stop mode the master bus doesn't seem to affect monitoring latency at all. This is great.
In play or record mode however the master bus FX start to add latency to the monitoring of my record track via sends. If I then press stop after a few seconds monitoring from the sends becomes snappy again (no noticable latency)
The same behaviour occurs if I route my recording track directly to the hardware output.
Also if I route my top level tracks via sends to a virtual "master bus" track and monitor my recording track directly via a hardware output the same behaviour occurs as described above.
What would be great is if the signal coming from sends could have the same snappy response in record, play and stop modes with no latency added from master bus at all. This would be highly practical.
Edit: I'm on Mac OS High Sierra

Would be great if folder shortcuts (alias) on mac would be seen by the media explorer. Currently, they aren't listed and don't show up. Also some keyboard letters don't take you to the correct folder. For example:
Hit the 'T' key - expect to highlight and select a folder that starts with this letter (obviously one has to exist).
Result: Just selects the next folder below the currently highlighted one. Sometimes by different amounts (3 folders down then 5 etc)
Hit the 'W' or 'S' or 'M' or 'F' key - expect to highlight and select a folder that starts with this letter (obviously one has to exist).
Result: Selects a folder further down alphabet by what seems a random amount but not of the same letter you pressed.
Anyway in summary hitting letter keys on the computer keyboard should highlight and go to folders with that letter at the start. however, this doesn't seem to work reliably every time for all letters on mac.

This isn't a fix, but might help you (and everyone else) running into this issue.
Low-Latency Monitoring Mode in Reaper:
https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=245445
Frankly this should be rolled into the DAW natively as in Ableton/Cubase/StudioOne, but big thanks to en5ca for the careful and meticulous work - it's pretty flawless.

Thanks anyway ferro. It's not a fix. My point is that it would be great if sends could be able to send Immediately without having to "wait" for the master bus if they're not routed to it. This dev version looks like it could be relevant to this idea. Plus I'd argue that different latency on headphone sends in play and stop mode is strange behaviour.

This would be great if a solution can be found for this.

- Yes, it would be really nice to have linked folders and files working with Reaper/mac. Aliases actually appear here in Media Explorer, but the target source can't be previewed or imported. Double-clicking on an alias in MX opens up the target in macOS Finder.. Apparently all this works differently and as expected on Windows.

- Same here [v6.18+dev1202].
Forwarding down the browser list have a strange behavior on mac. To me it seems like keystrokes goes through other columns e.g. [W]ednesday/date, [W]av/type etc.) before searching the actual file names starting with 'W'. Also, as an example, when the list is chosen and using keystroke 'F' the Toolbar Docker steals focus on each cycle.
Another MX issue on mac,
Re-ordering browser columns doesn't stick after new MX instance or restart (on Windows the ordering is retained)
Request:
An option not to show folders on top of the list, please.
And,
Here's a gray colored folder .ico that can be used inside Reaper application resources. Doesn't favor any specific platform
https://stash.reaper.fm/v/40711/track_folder_on.ico

I don't see any alias shortcut folders showing up on Media Explorer at all. Can some other Mac OS users try this? I have 3 folders on my desktop that are alias folders and they are not seen in ME on Mojave 10.14.6. Would be good to get this amended on mac systems. As well as the odd behaviour when using folder directory browsing/highlighting/selecting by using keyboard shortcuts to quickly (and more effectively) skip and jump down the list to that letter of the folder. Your explanation could be right on why some letters don't always work the first time.

Hi, here’s an example showing alias and a symbolic link, placed inside a folder on desktop. https://ibb.co/r51rHbH
Under MX Options I have checked: Show > All files.
If alias does not appear/update in the list, try jump to parent directory (upper left navigation).
Anyways, at this time they’re not working with Reaper/mac.
- the gray folder .ico goes in here: Reaper.app > right-click to ‘show package contents’ /Resources/. Of course this 'mod' has to be done each time there’s a new version.
In concern of the other mac issues regarding navigation and skipped entries, I hope it will be looked into as well.

Ah I figured out why, I have alias folders on the desktop, and they are not seen in ME when directly placed on the desktop. Even with 'show all files on' which also slows down the browser a lot!
However if I drop an alias folder inside a folder already on the desktop then I can now see that alias inside there. So there is an issue with alias not being visible from the desktop directory. Even then when you can see them, you can't do that much with them (not like a standard folder) but you can right-click to copy, rename, delete or show in explorer)
Thanks for info on the greyscale folder icon....
