Default ultra analog VA-2 vs Sylenth

hey i was just wondering which of this is considered better, and any reasons for it.

They're both good... but I prefer AAS UltraAnalog 2.

I said 'preferred' because it is a personal choice, try the demos and decide.

i've just checked Izotope IRIS but am not expert.......it seems like a synth??

can it does what sylenth does?? please advise

Iris is a synthesizer, but it is different sort of beast and I wouldn't expect it to do what Sylenth does or vice versa.

Hey there for You might want to check kvr - http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/ - for more info. Just do a forum search there and you will find endless threads about subjective sound quality of synths, comparisons etc.

For what's it's worth though... I never liked the sound of ultra analog much personally - kind of analogue esque but very 'polite' if that's the right word. Sylenth is a different kettle of fish - fatter sounding oscillators and filters that have a decidedly modern sound as opposed to synths of the 70's and 80's. All subjective stuff... Best to just try the demos...

Have you tried the 'new' version? Sounds pretty good (but it ain't no Monark!).
