Default Wrong edge envelope points creation after cutting and moving item

Hello everyone. Sorry for the title, I couldn't find a better one.

If you move an item including automation and with the "add edge points" etc etc option, everything works fine.
But then, if you cut the same (moved) item in two, the edge points are being messed up.

- Create a "flat" envelope under an item. For example, keep the track volume at 0 and rise the volume under the item by 6dB.
- Move the item with both "move envelope points..." and "add edge points..." checked
- Split the item in two,
- Move the second half, some edges are gone, automation is wrong.

I uploaded an animated gif here:

Hmm, I'm not seeing that behavior. I get this, which may seem slightly unexpected but is the intended behavior:

Well I must admit that now it's hard for me to replicate scientifically the problem. I tried several times and sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.
But I managed to create a sample of the "problem" in an empty project. you find it in attachment.

Try to split the first midi item and to move the second half, you should notice the issue in the "Gain-low Shelf" envelope. I recorded it in a gif.

I have to pump this.
Even if it's difficult to reproduce and I really can't pinpoint the exact cause of it, it occurs too many times not to be a problem. Am I the only one who's experiencing this?

Anyone tried the .rpp file I attached?

thank you and have a great day!

Yes exactly. it seems that the problem occurs in certain cases, if the envelope points are too close (or (or maybe coincident) to the edges of the item.

Also the creation of all that ramps when you move the item is rather weird, but that's a minor - but also hopefully fixed one day - problem.

Ok I finally am able to reproduce it.
"move envelope points " etc ON
"add edge points" ON

- place two items on a track.
- somewhere else lower (or raise) the volume by x dB
- Select the two items, copy them
- place the cursor in the area where the volume is x dB less
- Paste
- Move the two items
- Envelope point messed up.

Sorry for being insisting, but this is quite annoying because it forces you to check all your envelopes every time you paste them.
