Hello Developers,

Thank you for looking into the file copying speed issue. I just tried it now...I don't think the speed has improved. I opened a reaper project...and opened project bay. Selected around 10 files in the source media tab. Right clicked and chose "Copy to project media directory". As usual it takes a very very long time...Can you pls check this ?

EDIT :

But when I tried "save as new project with media files" it seems to be very fast. Can you pls incorporate the same behaviour for copying from inside the project bay ?

Hmm slow with only 10 files?

Anyway, giving it the similar treatment.

Edit: ah, it's extra-slow in the project bay, fixing.

Nice.

For a nitpick: up- and down-bent ties are not symmetrical. Up-bent would need to go down a little.

Dorico

Edit: Don't know if this is an easy fix but:

For notes in spaces, up-bent ties are easier to read,
for notes on lines, down-bent ties are easier.

That's because there is a white space visible between the staff line and the arc. This seems to be very slight numerical difference in the code, which when anti-aliased at small zoom level does look very differently.

Note: while I'm comparing with Dorico, it does do different arc heights and shapes for different visual lengths. Not a FR or anything, just an info. For us fixed-height ties work better imo.

Thanks fro the improvement, devs!

It´s much better now, regarding ties. While there are many subtleties left to be taken into account, as suggested by bFooz above, this change is much appreciated.

Greets!

# Notation editor: improve positioning of articulations/ornaments for voiced and beamed notes
This got fix as well as I can see although not mentioned in the changelog.

Remaining issues:

1 - in certain situations, articulations are overlapped with the beam

2 - in this situation on the other hand, since articulations are in a straight line, some of them are visually too disconnected from their note. For the first note, its articulation is 2 spaces off from what would be expected.
