Default Reaper 6.07crashes contantly

This is my very first time i had reaper crashing 7 or 8 times in one day!
since i updated from 6.05 to 6.07. Anyone having same problem ?

plugins like Serum and arturia stuff crash a lot while changing presets or opening plugin window.

Until Reaper addresses this there's a "mute audio when opening plugin" setting in Preferences > VST that may help.

You could also try running the plugins as dedicated processes by right-clicking over them when you load them in the FX browser. Just don't forget to change them back after the bug is addressed, because the FX browser remember the settings.

The first one is fixable (fixing), if you are rendering stems and it fails to create the output...

The others are within plug-ins so it's hard to say what's going on there.

I wonder if something is at play.

That first bug is actually already fixed in the current prerelease builds of REAPER.

Can you try to export configuration from your "fine working" v6.05 and import to clean portable install of v6.07 and try again? (or even vice versa to check if v6.05 doesn't crash with the same plugins if using v6.07 config).

So your v6.05 and v6.07 both have exactly the same configurations? (Audio settings, plugin settings, everything?)

I'm really not seeing any relevant code changes with respect to plugin handling between 6.05 and 6.07. Is there any pattern to what you are doing when these crashes occur?

No, some sessions i try to open they just crash on 6.07 and not on 6.05.
Happens the same with a couple plugins i try to open and use.

All the same, i installed 6.07 on top of 6.05 and rolled back from 6.07 to 6.05 the exact same way.
6.05 is ok no crashes, 6.07 crashes sometimes.

Most recent reaper Hang, opening Acustica Audio Celestia ME edition. Never crashed before.

The program reaper.exe version 6.0.7.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

There have been some Windows 10 updates recently. I wonder if they are to blame.
