I am learning to use automation. I see demos in tutorials where the user just pulls down or up on a bar the increase or decrease volume. The cursor turns to a double arrow. I cannot do that; my cursor does not change, and I cannot pull down or up. Please explain.

Hi Wayne ...

That's odd. It looks like somehow your mouse modifiers aren't as they should be.

Try Options, Prefs, Mouse Modifiers then Context Envelope Segment and left drag.

The default action should be one of the move envelope segment actions. I believe the default should be Move envelope segment ignoring tome selection.

Doubl click on whatever is there and select the one you want from the list, then Apply then OK.

That should fix it. What envelope type is it (e.g. Volume, Pan?)?
