See if the Bricasti stuff is still available online.

Or is it amp tones/cabinets you’re looking for?

Forgetting Reaverb how about using your GPU for the audio in a free impulse response reverb plug-in?

No, you can use the reverb in commercial releases, but you cannot redistribute the impulse response files.

If you don't have a video card in your PC ignore the post.

As a plugin it's actually a little too simple right now!

Yes, it's clear. You cannot include the impulse response files in a product. You are free to use the reverb for commercial releases.

I created free reverb IR files
as a gift to the REAPER community
and they work perfectly in ReaVerb.

Here is the link:

Enjoy.

If it is reverb impulses you are looking for then the Samplicity Bricasti impulses mentioned earlier are great.

If you want some Lexicon 480 impulses, these ones are pretty good (although you can't really get that true 480 sound with impulses): https://www.proaudiosolutions.com/Ch...-EQ-p/peq1.htm

Waves has a 4.8 GB library of free impulses you can download if you create a Waves account. https://www.waves.com/downloads/ir-c...reverb-library

Do the Waves convolution impulse responses work outside of the Waves software?

The link just takes me to the pro audio solutions page for their Charter Oak PEQ1. How do I get to the Lexi 480 impulses from there?

Here is a great set of Lexicon 480L
reverb IR files that I have in my
collection.

https://www.housecallfm.com/download...l-lexicon-480l

These are great to add to your collection
if you do not have them.

It all depends on the manufacturer.

Bricasti have allowed the use of one particular set of IRs, Quantec are very protective of their brand and go after people selling IRs, Lexicon and others seem pretty relaxed about IRs.

Note that this is in relation to selling the IRs. I've never heard of anyone being on the receiving end of litigation because they used a particular IR in a piece of commercial music. Even if anyone cared, it would be near impossible to prove.

yea i understand, some companies make it also hard to read their policies on that.....some are clear, anyway, thanks!

Some good real spaces here if that's what you're after.

Interesting but not very useful as music spaces, these include Newgrange in Ireland and Maes Howe in Orkney. Been to both so at least had to try them out.

I thought so as the impulses for IR-Live are in .wav format, but it seems that all of the impulses you can download free from Waves is in their .wir format, unfortunately!

The Waves library is amazing, BTW. The best collection of IRs I've ever used (never used Altiverb).

As per that thread still loving Reverberate 3. Between that and various algorithmic efforts I stopped looking for the most part.

Recently ducking has been added to Reverberate 3 too.

Reverberate is really good, but the library included with Waves IR1 is on a different level to those included with Reverberate, IMHO.

any specific examples?

I've been a reverberate customer for many years and have found their IR's to be very good.

M
There are a lot of big name studio live rooms and scoring stages in the Waves download, as well as famous concert halls.

The Reverberate IRs are good, much better than NI Replikator for instance, but the quality and scope of the Waves IRs are seriously impressive. Most also have cardioid and omni options and the concert halls have a number of distances sampled.

If you want specific examples, I would say that Schnee Studios and the Barbican concert hall are particular standouts for me.
