Default Why MIDI item will not retain key snap when duplicated?

Anyone know if its possible to retain key snap status when MIDI item is duplicated?

Thanks

Not that I know of. You would rather have to copy and paste the given items to retain all the item settings.

... and bizarrely, it isn't retained for pooled midi either. I'm sure there's a good reason?

1. Duplicating doesn't create a pool (unless you've set this option prefs|media|midi or is that the default nowadays?)
and
b. key snap doesn't appear to be a property of the take, but rather of the midi editor so it needn't be the same even in pooled items.

also, CTRL+left drag doesn't retain key snap status either.
