Default FX in Reaper cannot see all audio inputs

Hi Folks,

This is my first time routing more than a stereo "1/2" signal between FX instances. I've run into a problem.

On TRACK 1, I have a Reaktor VST outputting 3 channels of audio. I can see three moving audio channels in the mixer. On TRACK 2, I've set up receives "1/2" and "3/4" that receive TRACK 1 outputs. I can see the same three moving audio channels in the mixer. Yet, the Reaktor instance on TRACK 2 claims there is no third input. The Reaper control in the upper right corner say "2 in 16 out". How can I change this so that Reaper permits the FX to see the third input?

Thank you,

Use the track 2 routing button to set track 2 as a 4 channel track. Then set Reactors FX input grid to use 3/4 as input. I guess.

I don't use Reactor, and don't really understand what you are trying to accomplish.
Is it a VSTi? If so, you can't input audio to it. Only midi.

Thanks. TRACK 2 does have four channels, but Reaper keeps telling me that Reaktor only has 2 audio inputs. I've attached a (zipped) screenshot so you can understand my issue. When I create the third input terminal (circled in red), Reaktor tells me it is "not connected" to a channel coming into the VST.

I'm also posting this question on the Reaktor forum as well. I'm not sure if the solution lies with Reaper or Reaktor.

I think it works the other way round - the plug-in tells Reaper how many input / output channels it has.

Looking at an old version of Reaktor here there were 4 variants of the plug-in listed in the FX browser. Only one had multiple input channels. Double-check that you have picked the right one. It looks that you are using the "2 in, 16 out" variant.

DarkStar, you are absolutely correct! I didn't understand the difference between the VSTs. I'm using the 16 input/output one now. Thank you!
