Anybody get recording on Chromebooks with Reaper working?
Reaper runs fine on my old Acer chromebook in the linux container. I can hear audio output on my headphones plugged into my interface (Scarlett Solo gen 3), but I can't get audio input to work, so I can't record my bass.
Has anybody figured this out? (I googled for hours and tried many things. I found no evidence that anyone solved this, but I thought I'd ask the question fresh, since chromeos/linux is always evolving.) |

I've been able to record audio on an HP 360x Chromebook. I don't believe the setting sticks after reboots, but there is a setting in the Linux options to "Allow Linux to access your microphone". When turned on, it will allow audio input to be recorded (not limited to the Chromebook microphone, I've used a Beringer USB interface).
I hope it helps! |
