Default Am I missing out by using Rado?

I've tried a bunch of themes but keep returning to Rado and its variants (big thanks to Nick Moritz and the authors of all the modifications!). These themes were designed for Reaper v.4 if I'm not mistaken. Am I missing out on features and workflows by not using a modern v.7 theme? (Incidentally, can you recommend a modern alternative to Rado? Which is a very vague request, what I mean is you really liked Rado and the alternative suits your taste.)

There is 100% backwards compatibility, because Reaper has to work even when naked. Therefore, every theme ever made remains feature complete to this very day. Some post-theme-design features will get translated or re-interpreted, and HiDPI support is theme dependent, but if you haven't noticed any of that bothering you then there is no down side to staying as you are.

If you don't know what you're after, I would encourage you to try out my WT Theme Assembler Script, which is like a single theme that can cover a lot of styles.

Thanks for the definitive reply and for the suggestion, you've eased my mind. I will try the script!

Just to give a bit of context to my question, I was perusing the Options dialog and noticed that for some items, e.g. "Draw edges on peaks", the tooltip said "Color theme may override this preference". (And mine is not checked and disabled.) Which is literally an example of a feature not available due to the choice of a theme. Granted, the example is minor and contrived but you can see how doubts crept into my mind!

Greying out preferences is just for things that were once global preferences (all from a very, very long time ago IIRC), but later became themable. That's not you losing a feature, that's a theme being a theme. A theme is a person making decisions about how Reaper looks, and you trying a theme is you seeing if the decisions that theme made are a good fit for how you like things.
