Default take 1/2, take 2/2, help!!!

What did I do? Now I have two recorded tracks where I only want one, and I don't know how to split them apart - i.e. get rid of take 2/2, which I don't know how I created, is empty, and I don't want! Thanks for the noob help.

Right click one of the takes and look at the options in the takes section of the menu you'll get.

Thanks, I saw what you were referring to.

How does a take 2/2 get created, anyway? I have no idea how I did it.

You are recording in loop mode. Every time the loop wraps around, you're getting a new take, recording the next loop pass. If you're recording MIDI, you can choose "Record: MIDI overdub in existing items" and "Record: MIDI replace in existing items" to avoid creating takes while you're in a looping time selection.
