Limit on number of layouts in a theme?

I found a thread from 2011 stating the limit on the number of different layouts was 20 at the time.

In a personal edit of Commala 5 I did last year, I believe I reached the same conclusion (colored faders add up!). However, my theming and WALTER “skills” could have been in question as well.

Does the 20 layout limit still exist? Thanks!

Nope, I have 40! (Actually 8, each with 5 different fader colours.)

Good news! Just to be clear, is 40 the new limit, or do you only have/use 40? Thanks again!

the screenshot in that thread is for Screen Sets Layouts and not actual Track Layouts.



Screen Sets Layouts may still be limited to 20, but the actual Track Layouts can be a lot more.
There are 40-50 Mixer layouts in my LCS_Flat-6 theme.

I do not know what the limit is. Just that I have 40 available for use.

Thank you both! I didn’t want to commit to a design scheme only to run out of layouts halfway through. Seems like this won’t be an issue. I will check back if I run into any problems. Thanks again.
