Default Sortable Folders in FX Browser

Please make the user-created folders in FX Browser sortable, either A-Z with a right click on 'Folders', or in any order by dragging the folder name up or down.

cheers!

Yes. Ideally the fx browser should allow you adding tags to plugins, rate them 1 to 5, nesting folders... So finding FX or synths wouldn't kill the creative flow as much.

But at least while we don't have that, alphabetically sorting the folders shouldn't be a big deal. I have twenty something folders, so everytime I search for a plugin I don't remember the name I get extra cognitive load triying to find the folder. Ordering them with a right buttom menu up and down is ergonomy hell.

Another vote for nestable and sortable fx folders! Should be a piece of cake to implement.

+1 for a typical FX folders basic management system. E.g. being able to select multiple folders simultaneously and remove them, being able to move folders up and down by dragging them etc.

I delete all default category folders and have created my own. Whenever I update Reaper, even if I save my existing copy of reaper-fxfolders.ini and then put it back in the Reaper directory after updating, the old category folders are still created (and then I have to delete them one by one)

And one feature that would play well with smart folders would be to be able to add tags to the fx/synth, e.g.:

-color, eq, emulation, vintage

-compressor drums bass

-synth va arpeggiator monophonic bassline

-synth cold digital pads athmospheres

Then, provided you tag your plugins right folders could become even unnecessary.

This would be nice even for the JS plugins. I have lots of them and it's hard to remember names.

Oh yes, it would be great to have a significantly improved FX browser!
In this thread have already written all the wishes that I would like to wish, so I will not repeat.

I support this request!
