Default New folks are ruining it

Been playing here over 10 years. Sympathetic to social distancing, people wanting to play and they are new etc. But far too many are fighting how it works both mechanically and socially. Too many try to change the genre, overplay, ignore the metronome etc.

Yes, it needs patience, of course.

Hopefully, Justin started huge server with private rooms option, so those that do not want to be disturbed can move there to jam eventually.

Or new joined disturbing users can be muted.

Again patience, please.
(I belive that they do not act like that intentionally)

I would agree with the patience aspect of things. Of course, all of this time and I have not figured out what a maximum BPI can be theoretically. I once tried setting bpi to 256 (crazy, but a friend wanted to do a 64 bar tune form and I couldn't adequately explain to him why that would not be a good idea!)
many still believe this is a truly real time software with minimal discomfort type latency and it is never going to be that way. Some think you can rehearse, but really the best way to rehearse especially if you do have a big band or something (two local teachers contacted me after advertising jams in my page) is to have everyone record their part, and then mix all tracks and that's it. also, too many complains on the other options that believe that they are superior like jamulus, and iit's obvious why that is, starting with internet traffic congestion.
