Ok so there's a feature in reaper that is more so like a pitch automation. it has one of the best if not the best Algorithms for pitch shifting. far better then melodyne's.
To Use that Feature, you have to
1. Select an media item
2. Run the Action "Take: Toggle take pitch envelope" from the action list.
3. then change the pitch shifting algorithm to the type of media you are using. to do so, you have to open the media item properties window :-
4. click the first list:-
5. Choose the Desired Algorithm. Mostly, for stereo melodies, instruments and drums, the
"elastique 3.3.3 pro" works great.
but if you are using vocal material then I ever only suggest the
"elastique 2.2.8 Soloist" and in the second list next to it, make sure it is on
"Monophonic" :-
"just see for yourself how clean the
"elastique 2.2.8 Soloist" sounds on vocal material
