Default Automatically See Last Added Plugin GUI

I have key shortcuts dedicated to adding certain plugins to tracks when I'm mixing. Whenever I use one of the shortcuts the plugin is added, but Reaper doesn't automatically go to the plugin's GUI. I have to click into the track and click on the plugin to see the GUI after it's added. How can I setup Reaper so that when I add a plugin to a track it automatically opens the FX for that channels and lands on the GUI of the plugin I just added? Thanks!

Check "Auto-open FX window after quick-add" in Preferences > Plug-ins. Also you can check "Auto-float newly created FX windows"

Thanks, but unfortunately that didn't do the trick. Reaper still isn't opening the FX window automatically when I add a plugin to the track and if I have the FX open it doesn't automatically move the window to the newly added plugin. Hmmm...I know there has to be a way, but hoping there's an easy fix apart from creating a custom cycle action for each plugin.

Do you use FX shortcuts created from FX browser or some scripts?

Sorry for the delay in reply! I have FX programmed into the FX chain Resources area and use shortcuts I've setup to insert them.

If you insert only one FX per time, then we have a native feature for a long time. Right-click plugins in FX browser and choose add shortcut.

Yes, what vitalker said. Use native shortcuts and don't forget about those checkboxes.

I have already created shortcuts, but what I'm trying to accomplish is to have Reaper automatically open the FX window whenever I add FX or FX chains via a shortcut. Right now, Reaper correctly adds the FX when I use a shortcut, but it doesn't open the FX window and show the UI for the last added FX. Does that make sense?

I understand your question. It makes sense, but here FX window is opening after adding via shortcut. Can you show a video/gif how are you adding a shortcut and then inserting it to a track?
