Default Guitar Tuner (DONE)

Not a regular tuner, just a simple note playing deal, that will play the notes of a guitar or other instrument, and be configurable for various tunings. So once again, it wouldn't actually work like an electric tuner, there we be no input to the tuner, it wouldn't check to see if you were in tune.

It would basically be like a little piano that plays the notes of the strings for you to tune to, that's all. It's important to be in tune right?

load up reasynth, and the virtual midi keyboard (then play the notes with the mouse); or reatune (can be used like standard guitar tuner).

reaper.... is in there!

anyone tried setting guitar intonation with reatune? the meter jumps around quite a bit. i don't know how strobe tuners do their thing or aptuner or strobosoft. i'm not complaining. it's a fine tuner but it could be finer if it was more guitar friendly. i'm setting the window size to either 50 or 100. what's the overlap for? how accurate is reatune?

maybe i just need to go about it right. currently, my tone knob is absent from my guitar. i used to roll off the tone while tuning and maybe that's what i need to be doing now.

Reatune is not working fine on a 5-string bass!!!!
Tried with different Basses and it has a lot of problems in recogizing the lower B-String and sometimes E-String.

pretty sure you can use it for just about anything. You have to put it on a track and set that track to monitor the channel on which you have the mic you'd be using.

I do it all the time. I even used it to tune my piano, as a first pass, before switching to a dedicated piano tuning app.

The main things when setting intonation:
- set a long integration time, like 300-500
- mute the other strings. Any ringing strings confuse the reading.
- pluck lightly, near the bridge, to get the most accurate pitch reading. Plucking hard, near the center, causes noticable pitch drop as the note decays.
