Long recording - waveform disappears

This one doesn't break anything or lose audio but the first time I saw it I nearly had a heart attack ;-)

I do a lot of long recordings of live shows and sometimes transcribe long albums from vinyl. As Reaper is continuing to build the WAV files for the project and their size approaches the WAV file limit, Reaper correctly closes the file and starts a new one.

The problem is that the waveform preview for the file that's closed disappears! It looks for all the world as if you've lost a bunch of audio, fortunately its just the display, not the audio itself but its really unnerving!

When you stop the recording and save the project, the missing display re-appears. Attached are 2 photos showing this, one while the recording was going on and the other after saving. The vertical line shows where the first file was automatically closed and the second one begins. The display is set to show about 1.5 hours of audio.
