Default velocity limiter function ?

I have an idea for a velocity limiter function and wonder if anyone has interest to make a script please.

Say you have 3 midi notes selected with velocities 50, 80 and 127. I could use a way to drag down (or mousewheel) to lower the velocities from 127 but NOT changing the other selected velocites until I pass through their value.

So 127 I could lower to 85 and not effect the 80 or 50 but if I drag it down to 75 the 80 goes down to 75 too. Any magical way to do this ?

Thanks !!!

Just use, "JS: MIDI Velocity Control' and set max velocity to 75 or whatever.

that's too painful when looping over a section and trying to set it

Have no clue, rarely ever edit midi, I'd probably just use automation to adjust that max velocity param.

that's what i'm currently doing but it's not desired on all notes like a drum set where you just want to limit snare hits.

You could add "midi velocity viewer" in there for a visual aid, if that's what is making it challenging...

Thanks but it's not a visual thing. I just need to be able to take a group of selected midi notes and while looping over them, pull the top velocities down like a limiter as described above.
