Default Hope to enhance the function of the event list editor.

Although few people work on event lists nowadays, for traditional MIDI production, it is necessary to use event lists for many fine editing.
Current event list editors have several obvious problems. They can't edit numeric values directly with keyboard. They must be double-clicked with mouse before editing.
Apparently, notes, CC, pitch, text... There is no distinction in color, and it's hard to find data.
I hope I can improve the above and strengthen the editors that I may not have.

Odd.... I hav e been editing MIDI using an event list editor since the 1980s and find the Reaper one pretty much like every other editor I have used (many!) so I am not exactly sure what you are trying to explain in terms of missing things that would enhance you r workflow.

Without wishing to be an a$$hole, could you amplify exactly what behaviour you would like to see implemented & why?
Thanks.

FWIW I am in the middle of banging out some MIDI backings for a friend & it`s all going pretty quickly and smoothly. I would however LOVE to have anything that would make it even smoother and quicker in Reaper.

Up to now, I still use Cakewalk 9 to edit MIDI. The event list in Cakewalk is much more convenient and intuitive.
The function I want has already been mentioned in the post.
You can edit values directly on the keyboard instead of double-clicking them first.
Different event types show different colors.
The start time of the event can be easily adjusted.
