Would it be best to have the mono detector turned off by default?

Using this for podcast mainly and it confused the hell out of me when getting different L-I results from the JS plug in to the master meter.

I know the reason why now but it is a fairly esoteric reason no?

Seeing a nice perf improvement on most of my JSFX.

These are measured after letting it stabilize for a while.

Not sure what is happening with Filther, but uh, that thing is a real mess under the hood.

Default Render Window

A little nitpick:

Long names are ugly truncated. Is it possible to wrap a long filename on another line?

Well, we all see that this frame is big enough, so it would be just reasonable to use the space, instead of leaving half of it unused, wouldn't it?
But maybe this is used as as a chart when rendering more than one file.
Dunno. Maybe I'm just gabbling about things I don't know anything about.

Me too In my opinion, this is a limitation of the render window as it has a fixed size. As for me, I would just stretch it out to the right and be happy.

Exactly, that’s the reason.

schwa has said that maybe in future there may be dynamic resizing (and thus visual improvement) to the render window, but for 6.30 it will remain as is:

Reset on playback/seek is fine, also in v6.30rc11 the meter bars are now reset when stopped, thanks!

When playing in loop, I wonder if the Master VU could show continuous LRA, and not always reset at the beginning of each loop cycle. Now it’s not possible to see dynamics for short loops, eg. 2 bar @100bpm (less than 5 sec).

Even if Reset meter peak indicators on play/seek = off in Preferences, the Master LRA is still reset when playing in loop.

Also in JSFX meter, with the option: Reset on playback start = on, I think it should not reset LRA when looped but show calculations after the required integration time from play-start.
