Default Komplete Audio 6 vs Focusrite

Anyone have thoughts/experience about NI's audio Interface vs Focusrite Saffire or one of their other ones,

in terms of sound quality, pre amps and how much dynamic range and how low is the noise floor.

The NI audio interface is on sale for awhile, and so if that one is better I might get it.

Basically, with all these setups, I try to get the crispest, clearest recording possible as loud as possible with as low noise as possible if I can for a price range.

any info? or ideas for what I should consider?

thanks

Roland HS60 going into Input 1 on Komplete Audio 6. Gain is at about 40%.

This is from part of a recording before any sounds were played, so it was recording "silence."

Then that's 4 instances of GGain all set at +12db.

The JS vumeter has it at -80db before all the extra gain.

With the gain on Input 1 turned all the way up, but the HS60 turned off, Reaper shows it peaking at -84.8.

I can't compare KA6 to other interfaces, but I love it. It feels great and the sound quality is better than I need, but of course that's me and not you. Hope this helps.

Wow, thanks, what an amazing demonstration!

I'd go the focusrite saffire, the drivers on my NI Audio 8 DJ are pretty piss poor, using 3-4 versions back just to get some stability. I've used a saffire and with my ear they don't sound very different for general use, if you plan on recording vocals through the interface the saffire's mic pre is a much nicer sound than the one on my audio 8 dj (no surprises there!)

Thanks much. that is good to know.

Ive seen a raving review of NI Komplete Audio 6,

Ive seen some people like the Focusrite stuff a lot,

then I see Motu gets high scores from some people,

Probably they will all work well. I think the new NI AI
is better than tho last generation.

Thanks again
