Default How to make an audio freezing in Reaper (not track freezing)?

I mean there`s a couple of guitar pedals that pause the current sound and turn it into infinite pad-like sound (like EHX Freeze or Zcat Hold). Is there smth similar inside Reaper or what VST`s can you recommend to acquire? I know Sandford reverb has such a function but it`s not as good as might be, though the reverb as itself is decent.

There is a new JS called Spectral hold. Try that!
If you are more into the ambient ENO/Lanois soundscaping demo Shimmer from Valhalla.

Thanks! Just checked out Spectral hold. Well, it does what I need, but the sound is too fluttered. I`ll definitely try Valhala Shimmer a bit later.

I really like this FX Chain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRef_n-5Yp0
Substitute the Synth with your guitar. I am not quite sure if all js plugins are still part of reaper, but if you started with Reaper 4.xx all js should be available. Substitute the reverb etc with what you have. Works great for me.
