Anyone us AUDACIOUS? interesting...
Anyone using 'AUDACIOUS'? I loaded it a long time ago but I just began fooling around with it and it is quite interesting for when you get stuck for a media item to 'sit' in the mix. For quickly changing EQ etc. It has binaural - compressor - voice removal - speed/pitch - rate converter and some other simple effects. I can see good use for tweaking drum sounds - kind of an idea sketch pad to dial in a basic sound. I think the big WINNER of the program is the Graphic Analyzers (In real time!) - has a funky blurr scope - realtime opengl graphic analyzer - spectrum analyzer. The beauty is you can open all three at the same time... and expand the windows. I am definitely going to use it on some videos - I urge you to take a look. What do you think? If you need extra eye candy for Youtube/Vimeo or for great GIF or HTML5 - real... nice. What do you think... I might try to reroute the reaper sound output thru it.

Installing it now. VLC is pretty much my go to player in both Linux and Windows . . .
And it has a Winamp interface, so I'm checking it out closer now! |

Almost forgot - one nice thing is the playlist on Audacious. If I load say my complete folder with a hundred drumbeat samples - it will play them back to back end-to-end. It will play the individual wav files in the folder - or play a whole directory full of samples - which is nice for me when I am shopping for that 'RIGHT' sound when I get a bit stuck. I can load 500 cymbal samples from the net and hit the button sit back and hear em all with out keystrokes or any busy work of mouse click highlight stuff.
