Default What happened to splitting items??

It's probably another simple darn setting but?

What happened to Item: Split items at edit or play cursor, it used to only split selected items, but now
it's splitting all items under the edit cursor regardless of whether they're selected or not?

I've looked all over for a setting in Preferences and Options, as well as right clicking on the items. I can't
find anything concerning this.

Testing in v6.13+dev0806, but it seems to work fine here also. I can't think of any settings that should change that action.

Mine is checked and it splits fine on selected items. Tod said he is using selected items so that should not be it. odd.

He said it used to only split selected items fyi. If that option got enabled somehow it will split if no items are selected.

ah, yes it does split them all if nothing is selected. I see your point.

Okay, thanks to all of you, in my search I did run across that setting, but since it said "no item selected" I just left it. Ha ha, I'm
not sure why, I can't see why I would ever want that setting selected.

It must have gotten checked fairly recently because this only recently started happening. Ha ha, but with this old brain of mine
you never know.

Okay, it's not that setting after all. It's very strange and has something to do with the "Take System". I'm not sure
what exactly causes it but it's splitting items outside of, and not part of the Takes I'm working on. Also it's not
splitting in one place on the time line, it's splitting at the start of time selection as well as where markers and regions
are located within the time selection.

I'm going to keep working on this project and I might be able to narrow it down.
