I do audio post to picture. Here's the issue.
I listen to 10 dog barks. I Fav two.
I listen to 10 cats. I Fav two.
Those are Fav'ed forever (written to metadata). On my next project, I don't care what I fav'ed on the previous session. Eventually, the Fav list becomes long and meaningless (this is also true for Custom fields).
Sometimes, saving Fav selections to the project vs. to the media would be helpful.
I understand there are workarounds by using a Project based custom field, but these aren't real solutions. Every project I may Fav dozens of sound effects that are specific to that project. Plus, while a can set a command-key to toggle the Fav, I cannot do so with custom columns.
My idea solution is a project-based column toggle called "Hold" that marks that sound file as a favorite for that particular project only and is not written to metadata.
This would also help address a
previous bug I posted where it takes seconds to write Fav metadata on a database with 600k sounds.
Thanks for the great work!
