Default Rode NTR

Well I purchased a Golden Age MK111 ribbon mic which I wrote about in this forum.
I spied a cheaper than usual Rode NTR so purchased this a few weeks ago.
I tried it today on my trusty Groove Tubes Vipre..... recorded acoustic guitar
I set the Vipre at 1200 Ohms ( the NTR being 200 Ohms ) this mic needs
a pre amp Ohm level of 4-5 times the mike spec.
Well the NTR is never going back just floored, I had used only condensers until I got the GA
I used condensors all my music life and no doubt I will still use them for miking electric guitar etc but for now the Rode NTR wow.
Not affiliated with any Australian firm that said I do have another three of
their condensers as well, none have let me down. I am looking to try the ribbon on my voice the Golden Age ribbon MK111 showed me I had one so I hope this NTR does as well.

I hesitated for years and years and years...Great that manufacturers like Golden Age and Rode etc can make them affordable.
