Default Keep up the good work - don't let anyone stop you

Yesterday I played around with the 3.0 evaluation version on my Mac. It works wonderfully, although the user interface structure and design may seem a bit hefty to the typical Mac user. The huge menus and countless dialog boxes might need a little restructuring and cleanup. For the most part however, thats only cosmetic.

Behind the scenes, I can feel solid engineering work in action - congratulations! Reaper never crashed on me, even though I loaded gigabytes of AU plugins (orchestral and such). You seem to have solved a serious RAM issue that frequently crashes other hosts (Bidule, or Logic for instance). Probably because your code is already 64 bit throughout.

I very much love the ability to input and freely route and chain MIDI from outside of Reaper to any instrument or effect. This great flexibility is not common. Most DAW are very restrictive wrt AU/VST that actually /output/ MIDI. Reaper is therefore a nice solution for live performance and as an instrument rack for pure MIDI apps (e.g. notation software).

So for my part, I can say Reaper works flawlessly and seems to be quite robust on Mac OS X already.

Keep it up!
