Error with controller - I've had enough!

Hi!

I have a Faderport classic that some times give me
an error that locks Reaper totally (see Error.PNG).

Its a pain in the.....soo now I am thinking of buying
another controller instead with fader.

BUT I wonder - does this error I have happen to other controllers too?

So if you have the same experience like me but with another
controller please tell me about what controller you use!

OR

If you NEVER had this error PLEASE tell me what controller you have!

I'm very happy using the Behringer X-Touch One + CSI in Reaper. If you end up purchasing one, I can set you up with the files needed to make it work.

I use the faderport with Reaper, never had that error before with that or the dozen other midi controllers I use or have used. Although, every now and then one of them does stop responding, usually requires a restart of everything...but nothing freezes, just the controller stops working.

when things do stop working, its usually because of something else I did. For instance: one of my webcams will absolutely take down at least 2 of my midi controllers when I plug it in.

That sounds like my main keyboard - the connection between Reaper and it
stops now and then, next day I run Reaper its back again.

Just to clarify my freeze situation - when it happens I cant shut down
Reaper, I have to go to Windows "program manager" to do it.

That really happens? Seems excessive of an error for something like MIDI which really isn't essential. Yikes

I just installed it from the forum post I think. I'm on Mac but shouldn't make a difference. I use it daily.
