Default (Solved!) Rec Armed Tracks - Receive MIDI when not selected?

Hi!

As the title states, I'm looking for a way to be able to send MIDI data to record armed tracks with plugins chock full of MIDI learned parameters (in this case, the Expert Sleepers Step LFO mapped to multiple Lemur pages) when those tracks are NOT actively selected.

Is this possible? I feel as if I'm missing something obvious but I haven't been able to figure this one out.

Thanks!

Hm.. I'll give this a bump.

If this is NOT currently possible, does anyone have an alternate method?

You can send MIDI data to any track, selected or not, and if they are record armed and set to receive MIDI, that's what they'll do. If this is not working for you, maybe we should define first what you mean by "actively selected track" and in which way are you going to send the MIDI data?

Ah, OK interesting! I'm sending the MIDI data via Lemur/iPad/iRig out. MIDI learning a bunch of parameters (40 or so each?) on one plugin on 8 separate tracks. Each "set" of MIDI learn data has its own MIDI channel.

What's happening currently: I set everything up, the MIDI learned parameters respond perfectly when all the tracks are selected. When the tracks are not selected (as in selected the track via mouse on the TCP), they no longer respond to incoming MIDI data.

Perhaps I'm missing a preference somewhere or something along those lines? Or something extremely basic... it's happened before!

Thanks for your help!

No experience at all with Lemur/iPad/iRig. But MIDI/OSC learn window does have a few options, e.g. "Enable only when track or item is selected"?

You're welcome. After many years of not using it, I got to revise the MIDI learn functions, the mention of which I actually missed on your first post. So thank you as well, Crumbfort.
