Default several adjustments on a single plugin - back to as it was?

hi I find myself making a couple of adjustments on a single track/plugin and then if i don't like it i basically have to reload the whole project

i'm sure there must be some quicker way to go back as it was, any tips

thanks!

You might also have a look at SWS Snapshots:

Applying sws snapshots to a time selection is a more advanced technique.

Then even more advanced would be also litimiting it to few parameters in that time selection, not all, or just the last touched one.

From general to more specific:
- all
- track
- time selection
- selected parameters in time selection

I built a toolbar to make using snapshots more, uh...snappy:

I use it everyday, but it's not meant for any kind of permanent storage; just to compare changes on the fly for making decisions.

surely the quickest way for "a couple of adjustments" is just a couple of undos (ctrl +z)

For complete track(s) there are also track templates.

Well, if you can't hit ⌘z a few times to undo yourself back...
That suggests you made recent moves that you want to keep after the moves you want to undo. Reloading an old save would be literally the same thing. You'd lose those more recent changes you wanted to keep.

If you are thinking you have an eq setting, for example, that you want to be able to recall... save it! Then you can just recall it as you please.

You can enable auto backup. I have mine set for every 3 minutes. Then you can recall the project from the state you needed or open a backup save in a new tab and cut/paste from it.

3 minutes of work is about the most I'd be willing to put up with losing and having to redo. I also 'save as' as I go incrementing a version number in the project name.

You can save as many plugin settings and project versions as you please. Start doing that.
