Default How to transfer entire project to another computer

I have Reaper in a newer computer, and would like to move an entire project from an old computer to that computer. Do I render to mp3 or wav, and then (if possible) open in Reaper in the new computer, or is there another way to move an entire project?

If the media files etc aren't already together in one directory, do File, Save as and enable Create subdirectory and Move all media

Then you can copy whole subdirectory onto USB stick (or whatever), or to cloud, and copy back into new computer.

The issue with move rather than copy, is that anything used will be removed from where it came from, and now only exist in the new project folder. Copy all media can be a safer option.

Even easier, if you've used copy all media the whole time you've been working on it, then you can just copy the project folder to the USB drive, at it will already have all the media files in it.

Of course, unless you only use the built in reaper plugins, if you want things to sound the same on the new computer, you're going to need to have the same plugins installed on both of them.
