Default Steven Slate Drums for Reaper

Hello,
I could use some help which is more specific than the help offered by the Steven Slate tutorials on how to install and use the drum sounds in Reaper. I have gone through the install twice. I have followed all the steps in their written instructions and presented on their tutorial, including changing the path for VSTs in Reaper. No progress.

Can someone who has gone through this point me to a video, or other explanation, that might help? Or, are there some non-free drum sounds that are easier to download? If time is money, then Steven Slate drums are not nearly free.

Any help would be appreciated.

How far are you getting with installing it? From the sound of it, it's that its not showing up in the plugin menu.

If that's the case, maybe try restarting your computer. Sometimes plugins don't show up without restarting. Otherwise, make sure that the file for the plugin is actually in the exact folder you're directing reaper towards (there's no specific place that the SSDS5 vst has to be for it to work, so if you have all your other vsts in a specific place then there's no harm in putting it with them).

according to this

it installs to C:\program files\VstPlugins

if that path is in reaper's preferences it should find it, you can try the 'clear cache and rescan' button to force looking for it.

and remember it will be in the 'instruments' section of the fx browser.

Thank you JayJSE2,
Restarting the computer worked. I don't recall that being stated as a necessary step, but it appears that it was.

Thanks again. Problem solved.
