Perfect, thanks. Makes sense, as everything scales fine with the standard theme. I didn't know whether the 1080 and HiDPI stuff all coexists in the same theme or has to be in a different one.

Yes the same theme.
Since adding the faders (and getting my head around the associated scaling definitions), I may be able to combine 6A and 6B into one theme too. I'll tackle that soon, that would be great to have in 1.7, the final (final (final (final (final)))) version pre 1080p

FTFY.
Totally just being funny to mess with you. Appreciate it.
Although...1.8 looks kind of like 10 80 so it works.

Thanks for the awesome theme.
I noticed three things:
- Is there a conflict with SWS auto-color extension? I can get the track in the TCP to color the right way, but not in the track panel
- The font size is off, is it something on my end?
- The transport fonts look strange
Let me know if I can test anything.

SWS auto colour working fine here.
Are you using a HiDPI monitor?
Have you installed the custom fonts?
Read the first post.

The many references to it being HiDPI/Retina only atm. Thread title included
Normal res version in the works soon, just finishing up v1.8.

There are several issues after installing this theme on my Mac.
1. The scaling options (50%, 75%, 100%) in the Theme Adjuster do not have any effect.
2. There is a visual bug for the last visible send slot in the MCP (it is only half the size or so):
3. When a track is selected, the TCP seems to show current volume, but (a) at seemingly random places, and (b) in a font that is so similar in colour to the background that it is not readable:

A please or thanks wouldn't go amiss.
1. They're not included, it's HiDPI only for the time being. Thread title, first post and this entire thread should give that away.
2. Smooth 6 is based off the Default 6.0 theme, I'm assuming if you swap themes it'll still happen. Report it to White Tie.
3. As per the first post, they are recommended to be hidden. I will look into a generic colour that works across most TCP elements, although I can't promise anything.

@b0se, here is a question to add to the FAQ. Copy between the lines and it should be a drop in to the post. I'm sure I'll have more to add and thought I'd see if this works for you to avoid you having to worry about formatting.
----
When I install the theme it loads mostly Default 6.0, with only some elements from Smooth 6?
Smooth is currently a HiDPI-only theme and only works at 200%.
So, you either set your system scale to 200% (in Windows, this is the "Scale and layout" setting) or you tell Reaper to scale the UI to 2x (under Advanced UI/system settings under the General tab).
You can choose the 200% track layouts explicitly, but this won't affect the other areas of the UI. You need to use one of the above global approaches to get the right appearance. (At least on Windows, I can't speak for Mac.)
(Thanks to @tack for the explanation)

Done - used the same text colour as MCP pan/width labels:
6A
6B
Cheers for pointing that out. It'll be included in v1.7.

I was thinking, those that like coloured faders, would you like the MCP track/send list to be tinted as well?
That would be an easy addition.

Just realised that I've already got the tinted images, just need to drop them in the fader folders. That way it would be like having automatic tinting.
Depends if people want that though. I would assume so, as those that like coloured faders tend to like tinted tracks too.
I don't like either

Honestly, I've come to really appreciate your talent in design and I love that you have stuck to your guns a couple times throughout this thread. What I'm trying to say is if it gets your stamp of approval, it certainly gets mine.

Hate tinting. Love coloured faders to denote folder/bus/aux tracks.

Hi b0se,
Congratulations, it looks great!
I have problems loading the theme in Reaper 6, I have followed the instructions, I have installed the fonts and I have copied the 2 files in my reaper path REAPER \ Scripts \ Cockos
This is how it looks when I load the theme, very large fonts are seen and the VUs do change, but it keeps the default design of the rest.

-1 for tinting, so back to 1.

Thanks mate. As below, read the FAQ in the first post, you likely don't have a HiDPI screen.

Very curious to see what that would look like, particularly the MCP track tinting with the layout colour. I like the chosen layout colour to be very clear (as you probably guessed from my coloured fx parameter tweak earlier in the thread), so I'm keen to see how this would look.
I'm wondering which part of the MCP track would be tinted to represent the chosen layout? Would it be done in the same way as the tinting for selected track is done now, and if so, would that make it confusing to know which track is selected? How would this work with the actual chosen track colour, which IMO should also be clear on the MCP? I'd certainly love to see a solution to make the chosen layout colour very clear at a glance without relying on the coloured FX parameter method that I plan to use, as that method is no good if you don't actually use FX parameters in the mixer.
I would say that sends should probably be uniform in colour across tracks IMO, as that colour is used to indicate the send's status, so mixing up the colours could make it difficult to quickly identify the status of different sends across tracks at a glance.
Oh, and I've made a donation. I can't use this theme till 1080 release (my second monitor is 1080, and that's where my mixer goes). Even then I don't know if it'll become my main theme till I've really gotten stuck in and worked with it, but it looks so great that I'd be very surprised if it doesn't. Either way I think you deserve the donation for the hard work your putting in.

As for tinting... I wouldn’t completely exclude it. It’s always hard to tell from pictures how a GUI works when actually using it. Would there be a way to just include the pngs and people who want tinting just replace them? Or does tinting also include messing with the rtconfig?

Sorry, I think you misunderstand. I'm talking about track tinting with LAYOUT colour, so the green fader layout would be tinted green in some way. I assumed that was what you were referring to in the quote of yours that I replied to in my previous post? Perhaps I misunderstood you there.
