Default You said we'd be alright

Helo!

More tunes I made for my game. This time, a few more soundtrack-ey ones that play on the map/dialog/story screen. In quite a few of these I've been playing with some feedback loops, feeding back small amounts of signal back into signal chains and modulating the feedbacks. I've found that a pretty fun feature of REAPER that can really add some dirt and richness to the sound, even though it really tends to hurt performance enabling this.

Theme that plays when things are not going so well. Planets are falling rapidly and the player has to decide when to start the final mission.

The opener to my game. The style is inspired a bit by the opening to Dune ][, while the later synths are inspired by Blade Runner (not saying that I got anywhere near the mood they manage to generate, but hey!). Plan is to have a planet circling while text slowly prints on screen. The tune will lead into the main menu.

One of the early game map themes. While the enemy threat is there, things are still mostly OK, and there is plenty of time to explore your options.

Another map theme. First signs appear that there is actually some sort of time limit in effect and you will not be able to save everyone.

Song that plays on the map, first time after you lose a world.

I really love the part about a minute into They're Here, where it goes quiet, eerie and sparse, then the more hopeful melody tentatively creeps in. Although there's one high note at 2:41 which seemed to jump out unnaturally, I think it should be a bit quieter.

Across all the tracks, the deep bass synths were great - impactful, but not too much.

All good stuff!
