Momentum - Advanced Theme
A theme with both dark and light elements.
Some substitute icons are availible, read the included .html file for more info.
06.04.2008 - Update [ Dark toolbarbackground & smaller toolbaricons]
The updatefile is located at the end of this post as an attached .zip, not in the .rar themefile...
https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/139/lf_momentum%201.0.rar
Enjoy!

Clean and high usability! Something I´d see myself working with. First track has a nice song in it aswell :-)

I've been playing around with it this morning, and I find it to be a very useful theme, clear and professional. Its very cool!
However, one minor niggle, I found that the system buttons at the top don't quite seem to be part of the same layout, and are somewhat distracting. Perhaps they could be darker, so they fall back visually a bit more?
Otherwise - top marks!!

The buttons are great, very clear, which is very difficult to keep them that way with Reaper's size limitation on graphics.

Hi, yes, perhaps the same colour as the transport would be cool. They are ultimately set-and-forget options, so they could be a bit 'quieter'...
Anyway, its just my humble opinion, otherwise I think its fabulous!

This is possibly the best so far for me. I'm gonna road test it over the weekend after making the background a touch darker.

Mykatik > I'm not sure you meant the buttons or the toolbarbackground so I made something quick (not finished at all, don't mind the text and bad contrasts).
But I guess you mean something like the 2nd alternative since the 1st one makes the buttons stand out even more..

Hi Lime,
Option number 2 looks great! I think that makes a positive difference! The finishing touch!
That was a quick response by the way!

Yes that was pretty fast, wasn't it?
I'll make a nicer version of number2 and add that to the replacement folder. Don't have time for it right now though but a quick fix would be to take the [tcp_bg.png] copy and rename it to [toolbar_bg.png] so it'll replace the toolbar background.

I have to say this is the most stylish theme around. The tinting is so rich and stylish and the faders and colours work brilliantly.
If I had a lower res or larger screen it would be perfect. It's a tad too small to use for me but I love it.
maybe I'll get a t-shirt made of it.
Groovy, man

Just using this theme now and all I can say is - it rocks completely. Mega respect, I think I finally feel at home in Reaper.

A small updatefile is now attached to the top post.
There's a darker background for the toolbar and a set of toolbaricons which are 2px shorter than the original ones.

THANKS Limeflavour! Very cool! That finishes off this theme nicely if you ask me. I've been using it a lot last week and I think its a very mature and stylish interface. Many thanks for your work, much appreciated!

A Variation...
Once again very nice and thank you!
As I often try to tweak the stuff that I like even further, I came up with a variation with a different background.
I liked, how it visually separates the tracks more.
EDIT: I used a little bit modified version of Vixie plain 1 and 2 faders from Valle.

I wouldn't want to post the whole theme, as I made quite a mess with the preferences
But I posted the relevant mod-files (link is below the screenshot).
Right now it's just a variation not necessarily better or worse, just a variation...
One thing is for sure, if you start messing with one aspect of a theme, you end up messing with it all - change the background, the text color doesn't fit, change that and the text at some other place disappears...

(PS: if this is a thread hijack I apologise... i won't do it again...)

Downloading now... THAT looks great!
Lovely and 'flat' and high contrast.
Cheers to both carbon and Myatik!
Ps. Is it easy to (how do I...) change the fader buttons to, say, the icon for Record Enable (as I don't like those shiny faders)?
Edit: Errr... is it downloadable yet? Can't find it...

Theme mashing
Oh, It's not upped, I was just playing around...
However, unintentionally I have now begun a new theme combination using some Limeflavour, some Carbon (pending their kind permission, of course) and some of my own Kali, got to make a few tweeks - so I'll try and post it tomorrow on a new thread, so watch out for that...

Thanks!
The mod isn't quite as complete and functional as your original though.
Even tweaking the preferences is a very big work, so kudos to you for that!
