Can You Quantize Video In Reaper

Hi!

I was wondering if you can quantize video in Reaper?

Today I am gonna record myself playing guitar and import the footage into Reaper and add backing, drums etc. I was wondering though if (Because my playing won't be perfectly in time) I could tidy the footage up, say quantize it. Maybe just use tempo mapping to fit the music to the footage perhaps, do it the other way 'round?

Perhaps stretch markers would work on video, so you can quantize those to grid.

Hot take tho, how about playing in time? Like, playing to drums and backing, coz I feel like there's some backwards situation going.

Yeah, you can stretch video to make it fit. (Stretch markers are a way).

Normally (usually) we'd do it the other way round. Mime to a pre-recorded track.

[EDIT] Course, you can mime more than once (or just in sections) to get multiple shots from one camera. Closeups, you playing a different instrument, whatever. So that's good.

Ahh good idea. I'll record the song with the backing etc and mine to it.
