Default Switch item position of two marked items?

Hi there,

do you guys have an idea if it's possible to just switch the position of two marked items?

E.g. when I want to try out if this chord suits better at that chords position or in reverse? Or when I have a sliced loop and want to check if the end of the first bar fits better at the end of the second bar?

Definitely scriptable. Would take a little bit of figuring out though.

Glad to hear!
But maybe there's also the chance to get it done by just using the right still existing actions instead of scripting a new one?
Mainly because I can't script :/

Do you have SWS extensions installed ?

Cause in that case, you have these Actions in your Reaper Action List:

Xenakios/SWS: Shuffle order of selected items
Xenakios/SWS: Shuffle order of selected items (keep relative positions)

Hope this is helpful !
Warm Regards.

already exists. search "rotate" in actions list. it's one of the less intuitive action descriptors...

If you need more advanced function I have a ton of script to alter project order, preserving their snap offset, moving the items in their groups
or even moving items by columns... suffle, rotate left, right... :P
