Cursor Behaviour

I had been trying to get my play cursor to stay at the place it was when I stopped playback using the space bar. I have now discovered that I can achieve that by using the enter key instead of the space bar.

All good, except....when you hit the enter key, the edit cursor moves along and joins the play cursor at where it stopped. Is there a way to make the edit curser stay where it is, so as I can replay from the same spot?
