Default Editing envelopes in plugins hosted in a container (32/64) do not reflect real value

When moving an envelope point for a plugin hosted in a container (32 vs 64 bit) the point value only shows a float 0.0-1.0 while it is moving. After you let go and mouseover, this value is updated. However, if you're moving a native plugin, or a plugin that does not require a bit converter host, this is not observed.

Don't know if it was your thread on reddit, but worth giving further details

It displays appropriate values when the playback cursor is aligned with the value you wish to see. It seems as though the plugins parameter has to CURRENTLY be at the value in order for REAPER to convert a 0.000-1.000 value into a real formatted parameter value.

It can't display real values while dragging an automation point because the plugins parameter isn't currently at said value.

EDIT 2: So I've tried to recreate this behavior in other DAWs, namely Pro Tools and Ableton Live. Pro Tools does not have this problem at all and displays properly formatted values at all times. Ableton however does the same thing as Reaper, however, it is not a problem in Ableton because the real values are displayed in the config section of Ableton's plugin wrapper as you move them.

EDIT 3: I've found a workaround. Simply press the UI button at the top right of Reaper's plugin wrapper to remove the plugin UI, then drag the automation point vertically (only) while keeping the playback cursor on the point. Values will update in real time in the generic UI view.

EDIT 4: This seems to only be a problem with VST2 plugins not with VST3.

EDIT 5: Confirmed, this only happens with VST2 plugins. VST3 plugins perform perfectly.
