Default Per Send FX chain

When we are working on bigger projects, may it be film orchestral mock ups or game soundtrack, we often need to send the signal from multiple VSTi to multiple bus channels that imitate different positional microphones, with effects shaping the sound of each send/receive.

Something like this:

Since we want to shape the sound (the frequency roll offs, the compression of air, the ER of the room) of each VSTi source to each microphone bus, currently we have to use different channels, and a looooooonnnnnnngggg FX chain for each input.

Like this:

Or using a intermediate track like this:

But unfortunately, if we have 50 tracks of VSTi and 30 microphone buses, the intermediate tracks along would be 50 x 30 = 1500 tracks...lol, very difficult to manage.

It would be tremendously beneficial if we can put FXs on each send like this:

We don't need track controls or envelopes for them.

It could be usable for common stuff as well, such as shaping the sound of drum or guitar wet signals before sending them to the reverb (without clogging up the reverb track with FX for different input channels).

What do you think?

This would enable fine-grained control. Much more flexible in fact.

I'd put this to use in my TV/BD mixes.

May I suggest only no-latency plugins for starters, or perhaps a builtin optional ReaEQ ? Perhaps no limits is better, but harder to do. They would need to be automatable.

If you were to use the intermediate track approach, you've got the ability to hide tracks in the TCP or MCP via the track manager, and you could also put them into folders with each mic as the parent. Would make things tidier.

Even just stock Reaplugins or JSFX would be nice.

I am currently doing that for most of my work, which is more pop oriented. However for orchestral stuff...it's quite fascinating just to think about looking for a specific track within hundreds of hidden ones.
