HELP: Track Controls Jump Away From Mouse - PROBLEM IDENTIFIED
Hi Friends,
This keeps happening: almost every time select a track or make a volume/pan change, the track or control jumps a little away from my mouse pointer. The worst part is, this changes/interferes with adjustments I'm trying to make while mixing. Frustrating.
Using V. 4.31 on Win XP. Tried changing Preferences > Mouse, but didn't help. Odd thing is, I didn't notice this until I added the SWS extensions 2.3.0.13. yesterday. Could this be the cause?
Thanks for any help,
Joe

Okay, I uninstalled the latest SWS extensions, and now the mouse jumping problem is gone. So, head's up, there is definitely some sort of bug in those extensions.
I do hope that problem will be fixed soon though, because the "create tempo from markers" is really useful and cool. But for mixing, I guess I'll have to leave them uninstalled, and then temporarily re-install to create a tempo map.

Hi there, can you reinstall the extensions again and see if the problem comes back again?
Curious as could be some savings done.. with mouse extensions..

Hey Dan,
Sure, I'll reinstall SWS, and report back in a bit. . . .

Okay, re-installed SWS 2.3.0.13 and the jumping problem is back. Sometimes it happens when I first click on the track or control, sometimes when I release the mouse button. . . .
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Joe

Bug Reported To SWS
General FYI, this bug reported to SWS:
"Problem began when SWS Extensions 2.3.0.13 were added to REAPER.
Track panels, volume/pan controls, and items "jump away" when selected by mouse pointer, causing mis-adjustments or unintentional movement of controls or items. Problem is alleviated by removing all extensions from REAPER.
SWS 2.3.0.13. REAPER 4.31, 32 bit on Win XP."
