Default Toggle TCP icon area display ?

I found the action to toggle display of Track Icons in the Mixer Control Panel.

But I'd like to do the same for the Track Control Panel.

I looked and could not find any built-in or SWS action to do this.

Ideas ?

Does this get into changing the theme itself ?

In the 'rtconfig' file, the statement:
set tcp_iconsize [XX] or
set mcp_iconsize [XX]
defines the width (for tcp) or
height (for mcp) of the track icon.
When you right click on a track in the
tcp or the mcp, the command 'set track
icon', or 'remove icon' controls whether
the track icon is drawn. If a track icon
is set, it will automatically appear in the tcp, but only be drawn in the mcp
if the 'show track icons in mixer' is
checked in the dialog that appears when
you right click on the mcp master.
If you are not seeing an icon in the tcp
when one is set, it is because the
'set tcp_iconsize' command is set to
nil or because you have the global tcp
width set too small.
Hover on the right edge of the tcp panel, and click and slide it to the right until the icon appears.
If this don't work, change to a different theme. If the icon appears
in another theme, unpack the them you
are using, and in the root dependency
folder, open the text file 'rtconfig',
and somewhere in the top of the file,
locate the statement 'set tcp_iconsize',
and alter the numeric value in the brackets to a value fitting the size you
wish. (Usually 50-80).

I don't see this in any of the rtconfig.txt files that I have...

Thanks for the clear information Never!

I'm away from the DAW at the moment but will give this a shot. Since I use full background coloring on my tracks, I find the icons redundant and just take up space.

Will check rtconfig.txt when I can for the value that controls the size of the TCP icon area.

Thanks!

If you don´t use the icons why not just delete them from your tcp/mcp?

I want to remove the icons -AND- the areas that display the icons.

Found the display setting for MCP icon areas in Actions.

I have no icons in my TCP, but am trying to remove the blank areas that are present where icons would be.

I think Never gave me a way if I'm willing to edit rtconfig.txt and will try it later.

Thanks!
