Best native linux Grit or Grime FX? Artifacting and Glitching.
Trying to see if anyone has found great glitch/artifact/grime/grit FX (preferably native linux) Would also like to discuss other methods too.
I currently do this outside of Reaper. Compress hard add short delay boost high Frequency EQ add limiter and/or double track it through guitar distortion plugin overdrive. THEN use this paired with the original track. 1/2 as loud to 1/4 as loud as dry track. what do you use or do? thanks |

More extreme:
"Filther" JS plugin. "Wild Wave Fu" JS plugin. "Bad Connection" JS plugin. "Graphical Dynamic Waveshaper" (JS included in Reaper). "DeRez" (VST for PC/Mac/Linux) Less extreme: "DrumSlam" (VST for PC/Mac/Linux) "Tanh Saturation with anti aliasing" (JS in ReaPack) "Multi Waveshaper" and "Nonlinear processor" Liteon JS included in Reaper "Harmonics" (in the Waveshaper folder) and also "Waveshaper 6" in that same pack of JS plugins. Glitch 2 has a native linux version.
Inear Display have a couple of interesting ones - https://ineardisplay.com/plugins/legacy/ Loomer has some great plugins, including Sequent (similar to Glitch2) - https://www.loomer.co.uk/products.htm Skeiaudio has simple but very good plugins (automate the parameters and you can get some crazy stuff happening) - https://sites.google.com/site/skeiaudio/vst |
