Default Record question

Is it a way to set a punch in and a punch out for recording?

I don't find it!

How about loop recording? A way to auto punch new takes either on top of each other or on a new consecutive track? I am able to do this in Cake. Havent used this but once, but it is very intriguing. Especially if you like improvising, and want to capture that one of a kind take on the fly. You know, the one you never expected and cant remember.

Just set up a loop and record... you can 'explode' it afterwards.
