Default Reaper crashing on large 352.8kHz projects

Hi, This is a long standing issue I've had since I started using Reaper, and finally I have a project I can share that I hope another might be able to use to replicate the issue, and reach some conclusion or solution. Here's our workflow:

- large multitrack recording with Pyramix in DxD (352.8kHz/24bit).
- Send to Reaper at some point for post-production.
- create a Pro-Tools playlist-style editing scheme out of the large multitrack takes
- route/buss the multitrack to individual tracks for mixing.

The issue is that Reaper (in Windows, NOT IN MAC) consistently crashes with these larger projects. I'm hoping there is a solution since Reaper is SO good at this workflow in every other way.

The issue is better if the project is run at 96k or some lower sample rate (keeping and SRC'ing the media), but still occurs.

The project is attached.

I'd be interested in any thoughts.

Thanks,
Jesse

Sorry to bother, but may I ask why you use such high sample rate? I still happily work at 44,1k, and wonder if I'm missing anything.

You aren't likely missing anything, no - but it depends on what kind of music/material you work with. There is also some headache (like the one I'm posting about) in high sample rates, depending on the complexity of your projects.

Some genres get more audiophilic scrutiny, and my team and I are immersed (pun intended) in that.

Can you enable the option in the installer that produces dump files on crash, then crash, and zip/post the dump file somewhere for us, and send a link to support at cockos dot com? Thanks!

Where does it put the dump file?
I am having occasional crashes, I assume it is a plugin, I've been using Reaper 15 years and never had an issue til recently, but I don't know which one. It isn't when I access or change any particular plugin.
It just closes, hard, with no warning, just goes away. I'd like to track it down but I can't see where the dump is saved (If it actually saves one in this case) and nothing I can find in the windows logs.

Thanks.

It puts the dump files in %LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps

What are you using to debug? I used windbg, it told me nothing except "unknown exception".

!analyze -v says no export analyze found.

So it isn't telling me anything. I am certain it is a plugin but it does seem random.

Update: Looking at the stack and memory, seems to point to Ozone 9, which is weird, I have been using it for a year and this just started recently. I'll reinstall it.
