Default ReaVerb: how to create own Impulses from Sweep?

I created a sweep file, to be converted into impulse file then use it into ReaVerb.

I tried to load it with FILE but it is not converted into IR and processed.

I saw ReaVerb has "Generate Test Tone" and "Deconvolve"

Both I have not clue how to use them (on the wiki there is not any instruction https://wiki.cockos.com/wiki/index.php/ReaVerb) and what to do with my Sweep files

Can you help me please?

Hi!

Have a look here, here

Do you want to create an IR of a Room/external hardware or of in the box plugin?

I would like to create a room with external HW and then import the sweep.wav into reaverb to recreate that room

The second video you linked I already seen.
But the final result is not satisfactory at all.

So I tried with a Sweep but it's not sufficient, I do believe a sweep should be managed differently in post.

What are you trying to capture an IR from? IRs and convolution only work with very limited types of audio processings. For example hardware reverbs with random modulations (like the expensive Lexicon ones) can not be faithfully captured into IRs.

You of course can't use the sweep file as the IR, it needs to be DEconvolved first so that it sounds like a gunshot going off in the room.

Hi Xenakios, I followed the first link sent by Amagalma and I was successful.
However I did notice how damn celan should be the captured audio. I mean no noise floor at all, or there will be a lot of undesired artifacts.
