Default Color Themes: Edit Cursor Triangle Border

The new triangle on top of the edit cursor is great!

But:

There's a border around it which looks bad IMO. Especially because the color of the border is linked to the color setting of "Timeline backgound (in loop points)".

See edit-cursor.png

IMO it would look much better (more sharp and not that large) without this border.

Agreed, it looks a bit odd here.

++1 to remove the border from the new cursor.

Nice that you all agree on this.

Here how I've tweaked the colors in my theme to get rid of the border:

edit-cursor-tweaked.png

-> note the 1 pixel space between the triangle and the cursor

=> this looks very good at the original zoom-level. much better as if there were no space between the triangle and the cursor!

Ok, then we need a setting to define this border color independent from the color of "Timeline backgound (in loop points)" ...

+1 for separate control of the triangle's border.

Almost a 12-year necro-bump. Kudos

But it now has its own Theme Tweaker entry: MIDI Editor cursor.

PS you might like to change "MIDI Editor time selection fill mode" to "Normal 0.25"

How about REAPER 0.40? All older REAPER installation files are available at the following link: https://www.reaper.fm/download-old.php
